Jerdazen JZ200 True HEPA Air Purifier Review

By Tuan Do

An air purifier is a must-have for maintaining a healthy living environment, as it does not only make the air feel fresher but also remove airborne allergens such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and mold spores, which can trigger allergies and respiratory issues. The problem is that new air purifiers keep adding gimmicky features and increasing the price in the meantime. We all just need a simple inexpensive air purifier and the Jerdazen JZ200 True HEPA Air Purifier seems to be a good option.

Disclosure: We received the air purifier from the manufacturer as a courtesy for review purposes. However, the review is intended to provide honest, unbiased insights about the product, based on personal experiences and observations.

Design and Build Quality

The Jerdazen JZ200 boasts a compact design which looks good on coffee tables, desks, or near entertainment centers. Its exterior is made of plastic but it looks sleek and blends seamlessly with various interior décors.

Setting it up is as simple as plugging it in and selecting the desired mode. The touch controls are responsive and straightforward, making it easy to switch between modes, adjust fan speeds, or set timers without any hassle. The device features a central display screen on top surrounded by a ring light, which not only adds to its visual appeal but also provides essential information at a glance. Here you can find intuitive touch control panel, including buttons like On/Off, Timer, Auto Mode, Night Mode, Fan Speed, Light Control, or Lock. The screen shows the current PM2.5 reading and an air quality ring light visually represents the air quality level.

At the heart of the JZ200 is its 3-stage filtration system, including a pre-filter, True HEPA filter, and an activated carbon filter. This high-efficiency filter is capable of capturing 99.97% of airborne particulates ranging from 0.1 to 0.3 microns, including dust, pollen, pet dander, and even some bacteria and viruses. The dense construction of the filter ensures optimal performance, providing clean and healthy air for the user. A replacement filter costs $26.99 on Amazon at this time.

Performance

During testing, the JZ200 demonstrated impressive air purification capabilities. The purifier quickly freshened the air in my 200-sq-ft room, making it almost immediately noticeable. It feels like I’m opening all windows and breathing in fresh air.

The device is engineered to move a significant amount of air, which is crucial for effective purification in medium-sized rooms. Its ability to circulate air efficiently ensures that the entire space benefits from the clean air it produces. However, this performance comes with a trade-off in noise levels. On higher fan settings, the purifier can be somewhat noisy, which may be distracting in quiet environments such as bedrooms or offices. However, if don’t need that much power, you can use the device in Auto Mode which adjusts the fan speed automatically, based on the current air quality. There is also a Sleep Mode which operates the fan at an ultra-quiet setting, quieter than the lowest standard fan speed, and automatically turns off the display lights after about ten seconds. This feature ensures minimal disruption during nighttime use, allowing for uninterrupted sleep.

Conclusion

The Jerdazen JZ200 Air Purifier is an affordable efficient solution for maintaining clean indoor air in medium-sized spaces. It has everything you need from an air purifier while costing just about $69 at this time. We highly recommend the product.
