WINCENT Multi-Function Gun Safe Cabinet Review

By Tuan Do

Many people have spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars on firearms but they are probably still kept unlocked in a cabinet. That’s an irresponsible habit not just because firearms are expensive investments but also because they are not stored safely away from others. It would be very dangerous if your family member or someone else stole the gun and committed a crime. Only you should have access to your guns and that’s the reason why you should have a gun safe to protect them. We’re checking out the WINCENT Multi-Function Gun Safe in this post.

Disclosure: We received the safe in exchange for the review. We tested all of its features to write this review.

Features & Performance

The safe is almost ready to use out of the box and doesn’t require any complicated setup. Basically, I just needed to open the safe using the emergency key, insert 4 AA batteries, double press the reset button inside to start registering my fingerprint or passcode. A limitation of the safe is that the keypad only has numbers from 1 to 4, so if someone steal your safe, they can figure out the code in a few hours. In general, there are 3 ways to unlock the safe (fingerprint, passcode, and key), I’d recommend using only the fingerprint scanner to open this safe. It can store up to 50 unique fingerprints.

This is a mini gun safe measuring 11.81″ x 11.02″ x 8.27″ and weighing 11.6 lbs including the batteries. The internal storage is enough to store up to 5 pistols. If you don’t have guns, you totally can use it to keep other valuables such as cash, watches, or jewelries. There are soft foam lining inside to prevent scratches as well.

When installing the safe, you can use the included mounting screws to attach it to any surface. There are pre-drilled holes on the bottom of the safe to make the installation process easier.

The Wincent safe features a high-quality steel construction, a tamper-proof hinge, and an anti-impact latch adds for maximum protection against break-ins. When opening the safe, the door will pop out and you should use another hand to catch it, otherwise, it will slam into your furniture.

Another nice feature is that the built-in LED light will turn on automatically when you open the safe. It is not really bright but enough for you to pick up your stuff in the dark.

All in all, I think the Wincent gun safe is a nice little safe to store some small firearms. This is not a heavy-duty option but it is good enough to keep your guns out of young children’s reach.
