Order Amazon Kindle Fire

By Tuan Do

This must be a good time to announce new products as manufacturers are fighting for the the Christmas shopping season this year. Consumers would have a lot of choices as many great devices have been released and some others will be announced in upcoming days. Forgetting the iPhone 5 announcement next Tuesday, a new Kindle lineup has been unveiled just a few hours ago and Amazon has a lot of chances to win the competition now.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos took to the stage to reveal new Kindle devices and they all could become big hits this year. The lineup includes 4 devices, the 4th generation Kindle e-reader which is lighter, smaller and will sell for $79; the black-and-white 6-inch touchscreen e-reader Kindle Touch ($99) and Kindle Touch 3G ($149); However, the most anticipated one must be Kindle Fire, the first touchscreen color tablet from Amazon.

This will not just be used to read books, but also plays movies, music and runs apps from Amazon’s Android Market. The Kindle Fire will be released on November 15 and it is available for pre-order now for just $199, much cheaper compared to $499 for Apple’s cheapest iPad 2. However, it is still very difficult to compete with iPad 2 as the Kindle Fire doesn’t have an embedded camera, microphone and 3G connectivity. Some rumors said that another version of Kindle Fire will go out next year and it will be a big competitor of iPad. The biggest advantage of Kindle Fire is the access to its large and growing content library of movies, magazines and music.
